Cataract Surgery after KRS

This course gives an overview of how patients are evaluated for cataract surgery after LASIK, PRK, RK, etc changed the shape of the cornea, increased the likelihood of ocular surface disease, and sets patient expectations extraordinarily high.

Course Objectives:

  •           Identify issues with corneal shape following cataract surgery in the clinical setting
  •          Enable clinician to prepare patients for cataract surgery by educating them on the quality of measurements relative to their history of keratorefractive procedures. 
  •         Understanding of how surgery may increase ocular surface disease and reduce visual comfort
  •           Discussion of treatment of refractive surprise in post-surgical patients
